Located on Main Street in downtown Sarasota, is a unique cyber-cafe known as Cafe Kaldi. This shop gives you the feel of a college town from the 60's. Owned and operated by Rick Pierce, Cafe Kaldi offers a large variey of coffees and high speed internet access, in an atmosphere of art. In addition, you may order from this four star cafe's breakfast or lunch menu.

Inside, you will find artwork on the walls and you may just catch a local musician playing for tips.

All of the workers at Cafe Kaldi are very friendly. I was directed to all of the local used book stores and had a good conversation with one of the chefs, Bleu, about Jorma Kaukonen, who was playing at the Players Theatre that week.

Outside, on the front patio, you will find lots of friendly people sipping their coffees and playing chess, backgammon, or checkers. Each morning, the boaters meet outside and catch up on things.
